Joanne K. Lipson is of counsel to Crocker Law Group. Her practice includes state court receivership and representation of various interests in bankruptcy cases and other matters relating to insolvency.

Ms. Lipson’s clients have been members in dissolutions of limited liability companies, municipalities, landlords, and lenders, trade suppliers and other individual secured and unsecured creditors and committees, and trustees, as well as debtors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases.

Ms. Lipson was formerly an associate at Preston Gates Ellis, now K&L Gates, where she concentrated in bankruptcy law, but also did real estate work in secured lending, title insurance and leasing. During her career, she has additionally worked in-house for a real estate developer, a software developer setting up electronic case files, and practiced in the area of maritime litigation. Ms. Lipson began her legal career with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and re-entered, after a parenting detour, through the court. She has served as law clerk to the late Honorable Sidney C. Volinn with both the Western District of Washington and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit, and also as law clerk to the Honorable Karen A. Overstreet, Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Washington. When not diverted by the challenges of raising twin teenagers, she has aspirations of venturing out on ski boots, hiking boots, tennis shoes and/or bicycle footwear. She also enjoys attending performance arts events and reading.
